Weedmaps to Participate in Regenerative Cannabis Live Event
By WM Communications Team
Bridget Hennessey, VP of Public Affairs at Weedmaps, is set to join a panel discussion at the May 5 Regenerative Cannabis Live event at the United Nations (UN) Delegates Dining Room in New York City. The exclusive, invite-only event will bring together global leaders from the cannabis and hemp industries to discuss sustainable strategies to benefit the cannabis industry long-term.
The event is being produced by Regennabis, a leading ESG and sustainability advisory firm, and will focus on aligning cannabis industry leaders with the 17 UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).
“Regennabis is delighted to have Bridget join us as a panelist at the forthcoming conference,” siad Geoff Trotter, Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Regennabis. “Weedmaps mission to power a transparent and inclusive global cannabis economy, combined with Bridget’s impactful leadership and broad range of experience directing and advancing public policy will elevate the conversation as we focus on the opportunities a growing global cannabis market brings.”
Bridget will be part of Panel 1: Economic Impact, which will focus on the “Normalization, regulation and legalization of the cannabis industry driven by education.” Alongside Bridget, will be Toi Hutchinson, President and CEO of the Marijuana Policy Project; Bob Hoban, Global Cannabis Industry Expert; and Kurt Farrugia, CEO of Malta Enterprise. The discussion will be moderated by Joe Lynam, Newstalk Anchor and BBC World Service Correspondent.
According to Trotter, the day will also include action-oriented discussion as each panel explores how the global cannabis and hemp industry will impact a country's economic, social and environmental growth -- in turn further driving the 17 UN SDGs.
